The launch of a new STEAM initiative takes place Jan. 27 at the Whitchurch-Stouffville Public Library.
What is STEAM? It is an educational model that blends together the different aspects of science, technology, engineering, arts and math.
STEAM education teaches critical and creative thinking along with developing other skills in technology needed for the 21st century. Attend programs at the library and get a certificate after completing programs based on all the different aspects of STEAM. Watch for more details and opportunities on how you can earn a STEAM certificate through library programs.
Family Literacy Day, on Jan. 27, will kickstart the STEAM certificates with a launch party. Visit wsplibrary.ca for details.
