You’ve heard the expression, ‘it’s not what you know, it’s who you know’. Well, in the case of the organizing committee for the 2018 Planting Seeds Growing Friends, Stouffville Gala, in support of the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation, they know what it takes and who to get it done.

The committee, headed by Carole Nelles, managed to sell out the first ever hospital gala in Stouffville, at the Spring Lakes Golf Club. But if the tight tables bothered anyone, it didn’t show as huge smiles and huge amounts of money were raised from the attendees who happily offered their financial support to an organization that has and will touch many of them.

Although final numbers were not available, the goal of $100,000 for the evening seemed within reach. MC, CTV personality and Stouffville resident, Andria Case kept the silent auction humming and and raffle tickets selling – with some help from Stouffville firefighters on hand for the occasion.
