Express your love and creativity at the Whitchurch-Stouffville Library during February at one of the many intriguing events.
Adults can have fun creating a Valentines-themed craft at the Play and Create for Adults on February 2 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Learn a new crafting skill, have fun with others, and take away a finished craft. Registration is required, and the session is $10 per person.
If crafts aren’t your thing, then consider making the gift personal by using your hands and voice in the library’s recording studio and make a song for your special Valentine. Keyboard and drums available.
Want more love? The library has lots of novels about love.
Why not curl up with a romance novel by Debbie Macomber and Susan Mallery, Christian fiction love by Sarah Price and Jennifer Beckstrand, a historical romance by Betina Krahn and Genevieve Graham or contemporary romance by Linda Howard and Sally Thorne.
Don’t forget to treat yourself to a bit of self-love by checking out some books on health, self-care and food, like Do What Feels Good, Grit and Grace, A Liberated Mind, or What to Eat When.
If you prefer movies, then you might want to watch some of the recent romance films like Ash is Purest White, Cold War, and Five Feet Apart.
Mark your calendar for February 14 and enjoy some treats during Customer Appreciation Day from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. as the library staff shows their love for you.
A week later on February 20 from 6:15 to 8 p.m., creative-minded adults and teens can express their creativity at the Paint Night. Channel your inner artist and join the group as they follow a video tutorial and then create your very own masterpiece. Registration is required, and the session is $10 per person and includes supplies.
