eBooks just got easier at the Library!

The library is making big changes to its eBook collection at the end of the year as they move to the Cloud Library as its main eBook provider. As of January 1, 2018, the library will no longer be providing access to OverDrive/Ontario Library Service Download Centre and will be focusing resources towards providing more content for Cloud Library.

What does this mean for you? Shorter wait times for the newest titles, longer checkout periods, and a more user-friendly platform to transfer your books to an e-reader.

If you are accessing eBooks or eAudiobooks from the OverDrive App or Ontario Library Service Download Centre, you will need to start using the free Cloud Library App to keep enjoying digital content from the library.

The Cloud Library app can be downloaded for free to any device or computer and once you log in with your library card, you can start reading or listening to any available title. Make sure you start placing any new holds in the Cloud Library before all holds and checkouts in OverDrive and the Download Centre are cancelled on January 1, 2018.

If you want more information about the changeover, please call the library (905-642-7323 ext. 5230) or stop by the Drop-in Tech Help on Wednesday afternoons from 2-5 pm.
