The local event is part of a larger movement that sees similar congregations of politicians, business folk and ordinary people of different denominational stripes to gather together over breakfast once a year in communities across the country.
The goal is not only to meet and enjoy the fellowship, but also to pray for guidance to our politicians, local leaders and those who keep our community safe and sound.
In the minds of organizers, it is a declaration that “Christian Faith is real and valid and that the community is stronger and better because of the faith of its residents.”
This year’s event is being held at Station Creek Golf Club at 12657 Woodbine Ave on May 19 from 7-9am. The morning features guest vocalists and speakers. Relationship experts Dave and Linda Halse will talk on “Strengthening and Enriching the Family in the 21st Century.”
The event usually features a full house, so get tickets in advance at Candlelight & Memories at 6198 Main Street or by calling 905-642-4940.
