Mark your calendar for November 23 and head to the museum for a delicious taste of Christmas past at this year’s 39th Annual Victorian Tea.
Each guest will be presented with a platter of a variety of Victorian Tea sandwiches. There will be coffee, tea and a wonderful dessert spread to follow: Traditional Plum Pudding, Trifle and five types of cookies.
The museum’s gift shop will be open for those hard-to-find heritage games, toys and books. Old-fashioned candies and treats and beautiful hand-made wooden Christmas ornaments will also be featured. It’s the perfect time to do some holiday shopping.
Some of the site’s historic buildings will be decorated in Victorian Christmas décor and will be open for a brief time during the event. Guests of the first tea sitting at 11:30 a.m. can view the buildings after their tea-time, while guests of the second tea time at 1:30 p.m. should arrive a bit earlier as they’ll need to view the buildings before their sitting.
