27-year-old man killed in early morning shooting

A homicide investigation is ongoing following a shooting in Markham on Feb. 10 at approximately 1:05 a.m.

Investigators with the York Regional Police Homicide Unit are seeking suspects and appealing to witnesses to come forward after a 27-year-old man from Markham was shot.

York Regional Police responded to a weapons call at a residence on Hillwood Street in the area of Mccowan Road and Bur Oak Avenue. Officers arrived on scene and located a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim, Noel Williams, 27, of the City of Markham, was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Investigators have been interviewing witnesses and will be following up on information gained through this co-operation. “Investigators have spoken to some witnesses and have gained good cooperation and are following up on any information that is obtained. However, we are still appealing for any additional information that may assist in this investigation,” stresses Constable Laura Nicolle.
