For those who liked the idea of going downtown Main Street to get some farm fresh produce, the closing of the weekly farmers’ market that was a fixture for the last few summers was disappointing. But fear not. The market may be gone, but every Saturday Forsythe Farms will be returning on their own to the Main Street with the help of the Main Street Bakehouse.
The initiative, cooked up between Bakehouse and Forsythe will bring back the country vibe explains Iain Lovett, one of the owners of the Bakehouse. “We want to draw more people to the downtown area and get Main Street back on the map again,” says Lovatt. “We’ve invited Forsythe Farms to come and set up a fresh produce stand in front of the Bakehouse for the entire summer to bring fresh, locally grown produce to Stouffville”. The produce will be available Saturdays from 8am to 2pm.
