A multicultural event is coming to the Latcham Gallery and everyone is invited.

Please come and join us at our ‘Community-TEA’ where you will sample Tamil, Chinese, Indian and British teas along with a variety of tasty sandwiches and decadent sweets,” says event volunteer Margaret Grandison.

Some local celebrities will be on hand to serve tea. Door prizes will be awarded. Mark your calendars for April 30 and plan to enjoy an afternoon of great entertainment. Enjoy the acoustic sounds of instrumental guitarist, Brian O’Sullivan, and a fashion show by Chic Thrills and more.

The volunteer committee coordinated event will be held at 6240 Main Street in the multipurpose room from 2-4pm.

Tickets are $30 each with all proceeds going to the Latcham Gallery’s Creative Minds program.

To give moms and dads a break, while enjoying their tea, there will be a free art activity for children. The Programming Studio can accommodate 25 children ages 5 to 10 years. These tickets must be reserved in advance, by calling the Gallery at 905-640-8954.

The Latcham Gallery’s Exhibition space will also be open. Visitors can view the Annual Juried Exhibition and will be able to vote for the ‘People’s Choice’ award.

The Communi-TEA promises to be a fun event where you can meet new friends and learn about the multicultural fabric of your community. It’s also a chance to learn about and support your local, public art gallery.

As more and more people are learning, the Latcham Gallery knows how to throw a party.

Don’t miss out, as there are only 130 spaces. Order your tickets now. You can drop into the Gallery or reserve your tickets by phone with credit card information.
