Latcham Gallery curator Elisa Coish starts in October and will have the upcoming Travis Shilling exhibit on display starting Nov. 2.
Coish is a University of Toronto graduate with a BA, Honours in Art History and Cinema Studies. For the past ten years, she held the position of Associate Curator for the Corporate Art Collection at the Bank of Montreal. In this role she helped support and celebrate contemporary art, managing a collection of over 8000 pieces worldwide. She has also worked with the Malcove Collection at the University of Toronto, the Gardiner Ceramic Museum and served two terms as a member of the Exhibition Program Committee at Gallery 44.
Latcham Gallery director Roz Pritchard is quite excited to have Coish take the lead.
“Elisa is going to be living in Stouffville and looks forward to being part of the community. We are thrilled to have her join the Latcham team and are really excited about the exhibitions and programs she will be introducing,” said Pritchard.
